I know the 3yr/2yr/240-day Rule – Tell Me What’s Next!
Dealing with taxes can be easy when the debt fits the 3/2/240 rules, but let’s learn what to do with the not so easy tax issues. How do we treat taxes that may be dischargeable, but secured by a lien? How much do we have to pay back in a chapter 13? Do we have to provide for interest? How do we remove tax liens, read tax transcripts, determine dischargeability, OIC’s, and more!

Chapter 11

The panelists are excellent.  They have put together really good and practical materials.

How do you determine if a client should be in chapter 11 or chapter 13?

Can this client make it through a chapter 11 case?  What are some markers you can use?

Figuring out the exit strategy before you enter chapter 11.

Which first day motions should you file?

What is a disclosure statement?  What are common errors attorneys make when preparing them?

How can you get a plan confirmed?

What do you do once the plan is confirmed?

What are some things attorneys do which kill chapter 11 cases?  Why do I have to get employed by the judge?  What if I skip this step? I'll still get paid, won't I?

The panelists are highly experienced and highly opinionated.  If you are a newbe, you will walk out of the program with a good understanding of what it takes to hanle a chapter 11 case.  If you are an experienced attorney, the panelists will give you  good nuggets to help you in your practice.
