Kara Gendron has been practicing bankruptcy law exclusively since 2001 and focuses her practice on representing individuals, farmers, and small business owners in bankruptcy cases.  Kara has been involved in chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases.  In 2021, she was appointed as a Chapter 12 Trustee and to the panel of Chapter 7 Trustees, which is part of the United States Trustee Program.  This national program's mission is to promote the integrity and efficiency of the bankruptcy system for the benefit of all stakeholders -– debtors, creditors, and the public.

Kara serves as the Third Circuit Chair for the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and is a frequent course planner and presenter for national, state, and local bankruptcy law seminars. She taught Bankruptcy Law for several years at the Widener School of Law while maintaining her full time practice. She lives in Central Pennsylvania with her husband, four children, and assorted pets, including dogs, goats, and chickens.
